On Wednesday afternoon, Rome City Schools celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new additions to West End Elementary School.
These additions included a new classroom building and an expanded cafeteria.
Later in the day, another ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for a new classroom building at East Central Elementary.
The first day of Rome City Schools classes is Friday, August 2nd.
West End Principal Dr. Dennis Drummond and East Central Principal Samantha Lindsey provided more details to attendees in the video above.
