Man accused of hitting, biting pregnant woman

A Rosemont Park man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

23-year-old Dale Jackson Early Jr. grabbed the victim around her neck, leaving visible marks.

He also struck and bit the woman multiple times, and damaged a door frame during the altercation.

Early is charged with aggravated assault, battery, criminal trespass, and obstruction of officers.

Report: Man threw rock through door of Dollar General

A 32-year-old Rome man was arrested at his Yale Road residence early Monday in connection with a smash-and-grab burglary at the Dollar General on Calhoun Road

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Sean Peyton Swader threw a large rock through the front glass door and stole a large bucket of merchandise valued at $380.

Swader is charged with burglary, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, theft by taking and loitering or prowling.

Man charged with aggravated stalking, false imprisonment

A West Rome man has been arrested on charges of aggravated stalking, false imprisonment, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and obstruction of officers

According to Floyd County Jail records:

41-year-old Robert Shane Cochran screamed at, cursed at, and raised a balled fist at a woman at a location on North Avenue.

He also pinned the victim against a wall, telling her she wasn’t going anywhere, and then blocked her attempts to leave.

By having contact with the victim, Cochran violated the terms of a conditional bond.

Cochran also refused to put his hands behind his back when told to do so by police.
