Warrant: Man found with contraband while on inmate work detail in 2022
A Savannah man is accused of having drugs and other contraband while on a prison work detail on Chubb Road in Lindale back in November of 2022.
According to the arrest warrants:
26-year-old Delante Raheem Stevenson was found with two packages containing close to 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, three packages containing 27 grams of suspected marijuana, two cigarettes, four lighters, a $5 bill, and five $1 bills.
The items were discovered in Stevenson’s pants leg during a pat-down search.
He is charged with possession of items prohibited for inmates, possession of amphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance.
Report: Man had 61 fentanyl pills
A 31-year-old Rome man was arrested Wednesday after he was reportedly found with a large amount of fentanyl during a traffic stop on East Eighth Avenue Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by Gerald Lamar Daniel Jr. was pulled over for failure to maintain a lane after an officer saw it cross the center line on Glen Milner Boulevard and East Sixth Avenue.
Daniel was found to be driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.
Daniel also had 61 fentanyl pills.
He is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of pills not in the original container.
Kingston man charged with meth possession
A Kingston man was arrested on Wilshire Road Wednesday on a felony count of possession of methamphetamine.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
50-year-old Alvin Travis Burnette was in possession of a crystal-like substance that he identified as “meth.”
