At its Tuesday night meeting the Rome City School Board heard the guaranteed maximum price from the Parrish Construction group regarding the cost of building the new Rome Middle School.
A representative with the Parrish Construction group stated to the board that the over 300,000-square-foot middle school project would have a guaranteed maximum price of 108 million dollars.
The representative with Parrish Construction also stated that this offer was within the budget that the Rome City Commission set back in January of this year.
Shortly after the explanation from Parrish Construction, the Rome City School Board voted unanimously to accept the 108 million dollar offer.
The Rome Middle School bond issue is scheduled to go back before the city commission on November 13th.
