A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a commercial truck on Highway 41 north of Womack Drive in Cartersville Wednesday evening.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
27-year-old Thomas Michael Outlaw ran into the roadway and was hit by the truck.
Outlaw was transported to Cartersville Medical Center but died from his injuries.
The driver of the truck, who is from Alabama, swerved to try and miss the pedestrian.
No charges have been filed.
