Man accused of stealing water
A Silver Creek man was arrested on Craton Road Tuesday on a felony count of theft of services.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
75-year-old Bobby Gene Loveless bypassed a water meter in an attempt to obtain service without paying.
The Floyd County Water Department estimated the value of the lost water at $2,082.48.
Loveless is being held on a probation violation.
Report: Teen had THC vape at school
A Rosemont Park teen was arrested after she was caught with a THC vape while at Pepperell High School on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
18-year-old Kylie Sierra Marie Beck was found with a “Flying Horse” THC vape while at school.
She is charged with possession of a vaping product on school grounds and possession of a vape by someone under the age of 21.
Traffic stop leads to marijuana arrest
A traffic stop for distracted driving ended with the arrest of a Coosa-area man on a felony possession of marijuana charge on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
62-year-old Steven Allen Flachbart was seen driving while holding his cell phone.
After being stopped, police found him with approximately 2.5 ounces of marijuana.
Flachbart is also charged with violating Georgia’s hands-free law.
