The Floyd County Board of Education will hold a called meeting Wednesday morning to conduct the evaluation of Superintendent Glenn White.

The called meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. at the school system’s central office on Riverside Parkway.

The board will go into executive session to conduct the evaluation.

White was named superintendent in 2020 after serving a stint as interim superintendent following the resignation of Jeff Wilson.

In 2023, the board extended White’s contract through October 2026.

Following the called meeting, a work session will be held at 9 a.m.

Agenda items include a summary of House Bill 581, which established a referendum approved by voters last week that caps property assessment increases at the inflation rate from the previous year and gives local governments the authority to hold a referendum regarding a 1% sales tax increase to lower property taxes.

The school board will also review the education SPLOST balance, as well as ESPLOST projects.

Discussions regarding school safety and boosters clubs are also on the agenda.
