Early voting remains brisk

Election Day is less than two weeks away and nearly a quarter of Floyd County’s active voters have already cast ballots.

There are 60,891 active voters in Floyd County, and an estimated 13,358 have voted in advance since October 15, not counting Tuesday’s totals.

Those early vote totals include 965 who cast ballots on Saturday.

Voters registered in Floyd County can vote in advance at the elections office at 18 East 12th Street in Rome, the Anthony Recreation Center at 2901 Garden Lakes Boulevard in Garden Lakes, and at the Thornton Recreation Center at 102 North Floyd Park in Armuchee.

Hours are from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. weekdays.

You can also vote this Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 until 5 at the elections office only.
