Warrant: Man charged with aggravated assault after pulling a knife
A 37-year-old Rome man was jailed Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault and simple battery.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
Jason Earl Edwards punched a man and then drew a knife and thrust it toward the victim’s face.
The incident, which occurred on January 5 at a location on Calhoun Avenue, was caught on audio and video.
Man accused of making threats
A 78-year-old Rome man was arrested at his Bert Road home Wednesday on three felony counts of terroristic threats and acts.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A police officer was interviewing Bobby Horace Justice about a domestic dispute when Justice stated that if he could get a gun he would “end it” for the victim.
Justice also made a threat to burn down the house.
