More than 800 colorful blasts will light the sky to usher in 2024 as Atrium Health Floyd will again sponsor the New Year’s Eve Fireworks show on Sunday.

The roughly 15-minute event organized by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation will be launched from the top of Jackson Hill starting at approximately 7 p.m. The colorful display will be able to be seen throughout Rome.

Zambelli Fireworks, which also managed the Independence Day show sponsored by Atrium Health Floyd, will fire off this display.

“In the dark of winter, fireworks are always a source of amazement and joy,” said Kurt Stuenkel, president of Atrium Health Floyd. “We are glad to help make this annual event a reality.”

Atrium Health Floyd will again sponsor several events in 2024 with Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, including the Leprechaun-a-thon 5K and Health Walk, the July 4th fireworks Extravaganza and the Paper Doll Parade and Breast Cancer Awareness 5K.

“The New Year’s Eve Fireworks are a fantastic way to kick off what we think is going to be a great 2024,”
Todd Wofford, Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Director, said. “We want to thank Atrium for sponsoring the fireworks and for helping us bring these great events to Rome this year.”
