The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a contract for a bridge replacement project on Martha Berry Highway over Dig Dry Creek just south of Mt. Berry Mall.
The project will see the current bridge replaced with a new structure that is sufficient and meets current design standards.
The proposed mainline will consist of four 12-foot travel lanes.
CW Matthews was the low bidder for the project at just over $8.5 million.
The anticipated completion date, according to GDOT, is March 31, 2026.
