Two arrested for aggravated assault

Two Rome men were arrested early Wednesday on felony aggravated assault charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

23-year-old Luis Esteban Pizano and 22-year-old Yovani Roberto Lucas-Perez pointed a handgun at a man during a verbal altercation on Wilma Drive.

Both men are additionally charged with possessing a firearm while committing a crime.

Lucas-Perez is also facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drugs past the guard line at the jail after suspected marijuana was found in the back floorboard of the patrol vehicle where he had been sitting.

Report: Women made child smoke THC vape pen

Two Rome women were arrested at their Tency Lane residence Tuesday on charges of 1st-degree cruelty to children, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, reckless conduct, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drugs not in the original container.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

35-year-old Nicole Lucille Rinker and 36-year-old Racquel Price are accused of giving a 7-year-old child a THC gummy and a THC vape pen, making the child smoke it.

Medical staff confirmed the child faced additional risks from the THC due to an underlying medical condition.
