The Rome City Commission is expected to appoint a new transit director when they meet Monday night.
Kathy Shealy recently retired after 50 years of service to the City of Rome.
Also Monday, the commission will consider a resolution related to changes to Georgia’s zoning procedures law approved by the state legislature.
The resolution specifies who gets served if an appeal, which is essentially a legal action, is filed in relation to decisions made by the city commission, county commission, or the board of adjustments.
The city commission will also recognize employee scholarship award recipients during the meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
The pre-meeting caucus starts at 5 p.m.
